Ilsan [일산]: home of attractions, located northwest of Seoul.
As our vacation was coming to an end, my sister and I decided to have some personal quality time together as we explored yet another town.
Today, I’m going to share with you a snippet of Ilsan’s charm.
Attractions
Lotte, La Festa and Western Dom are some of many department stores where you can spend a chill day as you roam the city.
Western Dom was the location of our little escapade, and we were heavily rewarded with a good meal and a tid-bit of shopping.
Ilsan Lake Park
The original plan was to pay Ilsan Lake Park a visit, but the gloomy weather made us give up our initial schedule, and just walk around the city instead.
Nevertheless, I’m hoping that next time I’m in town, the weather will make the experience absolutely worth it. Make sure to visit this magical place, as well as its surrounding cultural and landscape facilities!

First Impressions
Throughout our well-spent day, we were always met with the kindest gestures.
Upon exiting the subway, we obviously looked lost. Soon after, this nice lady approached us and asked if we needed directions. We were very pleased as she spoke fluent English, and she ended up both showing us the way and giving us a few recommendations.
The aura of the place itself was homey and serene, it made me consider it as a potential destination where I’d want to settle in eventually. It truly felt like home.
As we concluded our little hangout, the welcoming and friendly environment of Ilsan reminded me of our brief time spent in Busan.
That’s all for today! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, and stay tuned for more Hallyu gems. Until I see you next time, thank you for reading me.
